2. The Nook
Because of genetic mutation, some houses develop rooms with tiny nooks. If a mouse is chased by us into the nook, capturing or killing the mouse becomes much more successful. It increases the houses chances for survival and frees us up a bit to do other tasks. Eventually, through survival of the fittest, all houses in danger of mice infestation select the favorable nook mutation.
